There are several kinds of transportation providers, and some cities have more than others. Transportation providers are often public transportation providers and are affiliated with local, state or federal government. Other transportation providers are privately owned and operated. Transportation providers include bus service, taxi service, train service, and limousine service. Transportation providers charge customers usually either per mile traveled, a flat rate, or a combination of the two. To arrange transportation with a transportation provider, depending on the transportation company, you may be able to phone for pickup service, or you may have to go to their location. In the case of bus or train service, you go to an official bus or train stop designated by the transportation provider.
