When visiting a new city, you might be caught off guard to find that liquor stores are often closed on certain days of the week. On those days, supermarkets will cover the alcohol in the store with tarps to let you know those items are off-limits. Yet, in some cities when the liquor stores are closed, you can drop into a bar at the local hotel and drink up, but you can't get a beer with your burger at a restaurant.
