If a company wants to have a product made from cotton they may contact a cotton manufacturer. A cotton manufacturer may purchase cotton from individual farmers or farming corporations after it has been ginned to separate the lint and seeds and then baled for shipping. A cotton manufacturer may then process the cotton to make different varieties of yarn, which may be turned into different products that have may have been ordered. Cotton manufacturers may produce products such as clothes including, tee shirts, socks, skirts, denim jeans, dress shirts, blouses and items like bath towels, bed sheets, reusable diapers and upholstery.
