A club can be any place where a person can go to meet friends and participate in a variety of activities. There are clubs for boys, clubs for girls, clubs for men and clubs for women. There are athletic clubs where people play sports such as tennis and golf, and social clubs which serve as ways for people to meet new friends and business associates. Clubs for children are usually after school or weekend clubs that are designed to educate and entertain children and provide safe activities for them to do. There are also clubs for people who share the same interests, such as chess, swimming or firearms.
