When people are looking to buy a house or a building it is hard to tell whether the building or home has a good roof. In order to find out if a roof is in good condition, people often hire roof inspection services or roof inspectors to check roofs from problems. Roof inspectors can tell whether a roof leaks; whether it will soon leak; whether it is in good condition; and whether it needs to be replaced. Roof inspectors use several kinds of tests to check the condition of the underlying layers of a roof. Roof inspectors can also provide independent evaluations of an ongoing roofing project. Some roof inspectors inspect mostly commercial buildings. Other inspectors specialize in inspecting residential roofs.
